Tailor's Shop

I recently bought a tape measure and a tailor’s chalk that I will be using to fix my unused pants to shorts. For the past few days I was pre occupied by that work and just today I accomplished one. I can’t do it in one sitting because sometimes I do the cooking, sometimes with Regina, sometimes it’s her and plus I woke up late in the morning. If I have time left in the afternoon I prefer to write something for my blog. There are few more to do but it can wait for now. Hmmm… What’s new to me? Well aside from I am getting fatter everyday I indulge myself in long hours of sleep. I’m not having sleeping problems anymore and I can sleep like a baby. :-)

What’s new to Regina? She’s 3 months pregnant going 4 months now. She’s been helpful around the house even if she’s pregnant. We don’t let her do the lifting or heavy chores at home. She’s like a member of the family already, mother and her are getting closer now and she’s easy to get along with. She’s totally fine in fact tomorrow is her 2nd visit to the doctor. I have also decided to submit myself to a consultation to the ob-gyne because I think it is my responsibility to myself to take good care of my reproductive health. More details about this on my next post because right now I feel sleepy and I can’t think well. :-)

Check up

I accompanied Regina the other day to see her doctor for her first check up since she came here in Manila. The appointment was set to 1 o’clock in the afternoon but we arrived a little late, we were I think 5 minutes late. Hehehe! When we came in the doctor was already there and no other patient was on queue. We sat for a minute and chatted with the friendly secretary whom we found out that she also can speak same dialect like we do. Isn’t it funny such a small world. :-) When Regina was called in I know she was a little nervous but the whole process went well for her and it took almost an hour to finish everything.

Regina was advised by her doctor to have her urine and blood tested just to make sure she is healthy and so was the baby’s health. We right away went to the laboratory to comply with the said tests. Taking urine sample was easy to do but the blood test scares her a bit. Like a child she was scared of the needle but she did it anyway. Hehehe! :-) After that we went to the mall spent few hours there, bought something and went home. And that’s how our day ended and by next week Friday will be her second check up.

Have a nice day and happy reading!

Appointment

Earlier today Regina and I had set an appointment to the doctor for her pre natal check up which I will accompany her tomorrow. I haven’t accompanied someone yet so this could be interesting. I was wondering what sort of tests she will undergo if there is, what sort of questions will the doctor be asking her and how she’s going to address them. It looks like I am the one who’s getting more excited than her. :-) Aside from me another friend of hers will accompany us too. Well all of us were expecting good results, healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. :-)

Another week

It’s been a week already since my last post, been busy lately with a lot of things. It’s been another week for Regina and to me it’s been like a sort of a busy week for I was in charge in preparing healthy meals for everyone. That wasn’t easy though because I have to make sure that I am preparing different dishes everyday and not just that I have to make sure that there’s always vegetable in every meal. It’s tough and I find it very challenging but I am not complaining in fact I am enjoying and loving it at the same time. :-)

For this whole week Regina and I just stayed in the house, we didn’t go out as often as we could except for those days that we have to go out to do grocery. I know Regina felt a little bored I just sensed it and to keep her company and entertained we watched movies from time to time just at home. She liked watching comedy movies and she laughed like a child. She didn’t care if it’s a kid’s movie as long as she loves the idea of laughing she’s in it. :-)

Regina’s been doing well, she sleeps more now than before and she starts to gain weight and her tummy starts to grow big. And speaking of gaining weight I am gaining weight too. :-) Before I forgot we’ve never been to a doctor for her regular check up but surely these coming days we’ll go see a doctor for her. I am a little excited because it’s going to be my first time to accompany her in seeing a doctor and more than that I am privileged to witness what a pregnant woman is experiencing everyday till the time that she will give birth. :-)

Oh well I am starting to learn a lot of things about pregnancy and the do’s and don’t about it. Good for me I guess because this inputs I am getting now will benefit me for sure someday. At least if its my time I would know what to do, what to avoid and what to expect. I know someday it will happen but there’s no rush at the moment. :-)

Too defensive

I don’t know how she will take it if Regina found out that this blog is about her. I haven’t told her yet, I had an attempt of doing so but I feel it wasn’t the right time. This whole blog thing somehow gave me that bothered feeling. I felt that I have invaded her privacy by saying things about her but come to think of it I haven’t totally exposed her yet her true identity remained anonymous and I always remind myself to be very careful in the stories I posted over here. This isn’t a careless talk to put her on the spot but really I am inspired to write about everything, which concerns life, womanhood, and motherhood, between friends and between mothers. Regina is the tool for me to express my thoughts on the said subjects, to learn things and in the lifetime I may use them as guided thoughts to live by. :-)

Thursday - For the first time Regina experienced how Manila was easily flooded when it rained heavily last Thursday, she just saw it from the outside. The children outside were happily enjoying the rain as they splash on the flood thinking it was a swimming pool. They didn’t mind how dirty the water was as long as their having fun. She stares for a while and I did too. It’s not a usual scene for in the place where she came from it’s different. I told her that she’d be seeing more of that come this rainy season. :-)

Friday - By Friday around mid afternoon Regina and I had a videoke marathon, she had fun singing remembering those songs that means to her. Even if we sang out of tune, we don’t care. We sang and sang till we stopped at around 8 in the evening to take our dinner. On the other hand Regina approached me and told me that her tummy starts to shape like that of a pregnant woman. I looked at her tummy and I was allowed to touch it. It’s not on its perfect shape but we knew it’s getting the
